SEEKNOWACT
The Problem Underneath

It Was Never a Lack of Data

We started with inventory, because it was the fastest place to prove something real. Brands came to us unable to trust their own stock numbers — accuracy at 60%, orders going out wrong, cash disappearing into positions nobody could see. We got that to 100%.

Then customers came back to us. Not about inventory. About everything else.

So we went and sat with them. In warehouses. In offices. In WhatsApp groups at midnight. And underneath every different problem, we found the same problem.

The knowledge was always there — decades of it. It just lived inside individual heads, inaccessible at the moment of decision.

What We Learned

When You Cannot See, You Add Complexity

This is why businesses doing everything right still make the wrong call. Every decision depends on whoever happens to be in the room, working from whatever fragment of the picture they can see.

And when people cannot see clearly, they do what all of us do — they try harder. More people. More layers. More systems that don't talk to each other. More meetings to compensate for the meeting before it that produced no clarity. More spreadsheets to track the spreadsheets.

They aren't being careless. They're being human. But complexity becomes the enemy of the very thing they were trying to build.

Why the Name

We Needed to Remember Something Old

For years we were Unity Retail. It described something real — unity across a retail stack that didn't talk to itself. It was accurate enough. It was also borrowed.

Think about how companies in this part of the world have been named for decades. We reached for English, for Western frameworks and vocabulary — not because they were better, but because we'd been taught, quietly and consistently, that to be taken seriously you had to sound like someone else.

When you say "discernment" in English, you have said one thing. When you say فراسة, you have opened a door.

The root conjures the falcon — and that image isn't decoration. Watch a falcon hunt. Every adjustment of the wings, every shift in angle before the strike, is a deliberate decision informed by everything it has perceived, converging toward one moment of absolute precision. The claws do not guess. By the time they close, the outcome has already been determined.

We chose a name from our own language, and the deepest word we could find, because the thing we're building deserves to be named with that kind of weight.

The Standard

A Name We Can Be Held To

This isn't a marketing decision. It's a standard, and it applies to us before it applies to anyone else.

We reject mediocrity quietly

Not with declarations — in the consistency of doing the work properly every time. Code that holds when no one is watching. A customer who gets a real answer, not a managed one.

We don't hide behind complexity

If our product makes an operation more complicated rather than less, we have failed. If you need a manual to understand what your own business is telling you, we built the wrong thing. Simple is the hardest standard, and it's ours.

We solve the real problem

The biggest problems in commerce in emerging markets are structural and deep. They're waiting for someone willing to take them seriously rather than pick off the convenient ones.

We act, not just observe

We're not a research institution or a consultancy. Firaasa is perception that demands action — perceive clearly, decide quickly, move without hesitation.

Where We Build From

Tier 1, Without Shedding Who We Are

We're building this to be the best in the world at what it does. But the path to world-class doesn't run through becoming a pale imitation of what already exists elsewhere. It runs through building something only we could have built.

Built from this region. Named in our own language. Held to a standard we define ourselves.

We won't be the last company out of Pakistan with serious ambitions — but we'd like to be an example someone points to when they're naming their own company, in their own tradition, and need to know it's possible.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did Unity Retail change its name to Firaasa?

The name changed because the ambition did. Unity Retail described connecting systems that didn't talk to each other. Firaasa describes what the platform became — an intelligence layer that reads every signal an operation produces and delivers clarity at the moment of decision. Same team, same product, same people.

What does Firaasa mean?

Firaasa (فراسة) is a classical Arabic word with no single English equivalent: the faculty of perceiving truth as it actually is — seeing behind the surface, reading signals others miss, and acting on what you see with precision. It lives in Urdu too, as فراست.

Is Firaasa the same company as Unity Retail?

Yes. Same team, same platform, same integrations, same account teams. Only the name and visual identity changed.

See Clearly. Act Without Hesitation.

That's the standard we hold ourselves to. Let us show you what it looks like in your operation.
